ADELE ETHERIDGE WOODSON

Adele Etheridge Woodson is an award-winning classically trained film and visual media composer. As a film composer, her strengths lie in her versatility and her creativity in fusing music genres. Notably, Adele scored Pant Hoot, a documentary featuring Dr. Jane Goodall; she has also recently received the prestigious 2023 Horizon Award from the International Sound and Film Music Festival for her score for the dramatic film Bird of Paradise.

Adele’s compositional work also includes original dance shows and sound installations, but her most impressive feat may be her concert premieres in Vienna, New York City, Phoenix, Cleveland, and Nashville. As of 2023, Adele is working on a post-classical, ambient EP to release under Jeff Rona’s Camerata Records.

In addition to her own composing work, Adele served as a score coordinator for TOKiMONSTA’s score for Nora from Queens on Comedy Central and worked with Emily Bear on multiple television projects, including the Emmy-winning PBS documentary Life Centered. Adele also arranges, orchestrates, and produces for artists around the world, including BAFTA-nominated composer Ilan Eshkeri, where she arranged the Stardust film score for piano trio at a 2023 awards ceremony honoring author Neil Gaiman. Adele has also worked as the composer for the contemporary dance company Kraken Still & Film.

Adele currently resides in London, England and is an active member of BAFTA’s 2023 Connect program, the Alliance for Women Film Composers, and the Society of Composers and Lyricists. She is represented by Emily Richardson at 515 Talent. In 2024, she was a recipient of the highly coveted Arts Council England’s Developing Your Creative Practice grant.
